Swimming

With regards to swimming, as the weather is now cooling down, we will only be swimming on a Monday afternoon.  This gives the water time to warm up.  Our Wednesday swim time is in the morning and the pool is not as warm as it has been in the mornings!

Futsal

For the last couple of weeks we have been very lucky and have had Sam come in to coach us some Futsal skills.
As this is now a sport offered in Summer Sport at Hagley Park, it is great for the children to experience what the sport is all about.

Fixed vs Growth Mindset

This term we have been looking at Fixed vs Growth Mindsets.
We are trying to focus on having a Growth Mindset.
Ask your children what the difference is and they can comment on what they think the difference is now that they have learnt a little about it!
The following video has been seen in class about how a Growth Mindset is more preferable than a Fixed Mindset - I think we have a few entrepreneurs in Room 11!!!

Weetbix Tryathlon

Last weekend was the Weetbix Tryathlon.
A member of Room 11 competed in the event and we are lucky enough to have some photos of them in action!

And they both won gold medals - go girls!!
