We have had 3 birthdays in June.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to:
Saracen, Enrico and Rhiannon.
We were very spoilt by Rhiannon's mum Sam, who brought in a delicious birthday cake for us to share - yummy!! And very clever!

Speed writing
We did an activity to help us along with our writing of explanations.
We had a whiteboard, a pen and 10 minutes to write as much as we could to explain how we brush our teeth!
These are some of our efforts.

Seasons Poetry
We have been looking at different forms of poetry each week during a reading session.
So far we have looked at Diamante Poems, Bio Poems and this week we looked at Season Poetry.
Have a read of some of their wonderful efforts.
Winter blows in with
snow, rain, wind and clouds
on a snowy wet day with
kids wearing jackets and boots. Rhiannon
Spring sprinkles in with
rain, sun and wind
and people picking flowers and looking at rainbows
as they walk by on a sunny warm day with
kids wearing shorts and t-shirts and
playing in the flowers. Alice
Spring sprinkles in with
rain, sun and wind
on a warm rainy day with
kids wearing shorts and t-shirts. Fenella
Summer flies in with
warm things and
kids wearing short shorts and t-shirts. Hannah
Winter rains in with
water flowing through and
snow dropping from the sky
on a nice fund day with
kids wearing coats and gloves. Saoirse
Winter bursts in with
wind blowing around and
snow falling down
on a cold chilly day
with kids wearing jackets and pants. William
Winter crawls in with
frosty grass and
snow flakes falling
on a freezing cold day
with kids wearing coats and beanies. Christian
Winter blasts in with
freezing cold snow and
slippery funny ice
on a snowy, cold day
With kids wearing fluffy jackets and fur gloves. Enrico
Winter crawls in with
cold air and
snowflakes dropping
on a cold, frosty day
with kids wearing thermals and track pants. Paige
Winter arrives with a snowy blast,
cold shivery snow and
icy roads and frosty trees
on a winter snowy day
there is wind. Daniel
Winter crawls in with
cold freezy wind and
on very cold days
on a very frosty day
with kids wearing long sleeved tops and track suit pants. Lucas

Fenella's Win!
Congratulations to Fenella, who not only competed in the Christchurch Airports Kds Mara Fun, but won the race. It was 2km long and she won a banner, a finishers medal and a brand new pair of shoes.
Well done Fenella.
Well done Fenella.
